Colorado sheriff can cooperate with ICE despite state law, judge says

According to the ruling, the sheriff has the legal authority to enter into the agreement with the federal government. The judge also found that the sheriff is complying with all state and local laws.

A Teller County District judge ruled Wednesday that the county sheriff isn't violating Colorado law by allowing his deputies to conduct immigration enforcement through an agreement with the federal government.
