The Merit Academy of Woodland Park, Colorado, opened its doors on August 23rd with a patriotic ceremony that featured American flags and a teenage rider riding a dun horse while waving the school flag. This new school is designed to provide a high-quality education to students who are interested in the natural sciences, mathematics, and engineering. The academy is located just outside of Colorado Springs, and its founders are passionate about giving back to their community.
